Date night is so important

I’m not the first to say this so I will not push on the matter, I just want to assert right now: date night is a must!

It is way too easy as a couple to fall into the habit of just being parents and losing our individual identity within the roles we perform in the home. These roles most certainly will change us, they even add a bit of depth to who we are as characters on the stage of life; but they cannot be our only identity.

It’s important as individuals and as a couple that you take time to invest in each other and continue to grow as a couple. One day the children will leave the home and you will have to spend more time together alone – this could be scary of exciting; it’s up to you!

How you choose to invest into your dynamic as a couple will define how joyful those autumn years will be…

(Also let’s not forget a good date night should end with a shag but this is another blog as sex after children is also ‘so important’)
