Live coverage of the Bolton Wanderers vs. Bristol Rovers English League One game on ESPN (UK), including live score, highlights and updated stats.

Bristol Rovers player ratings vs Bolton as Marquis and Evans secure major winMatt Cox - 7 Really unlucky not to get the clean sheet after only being forced into two memorable saves. The 20-year-old's distribution was decent too. Tristan Crama - 8 Excellent from the Brentford loanee once again. Crama was solid at Crewe and took that to another level against, with respect, a much stronger opponent. Cut out plenty and always passed forward if possible. Unlucky not to get the clean sheet. Connor Taylor - 8 Seeing Taylor run at you as a forward must be frightening to say the least. Another top afternoon for him. Harvey Vale - 7 Again, he probably needs a bit more composure in the final third but the Chelsea loanee was crucial for Rovers in that left-wing-back role. Defensively, Vale was extremely solid, getting the ball away when necessary with one particularly crucial clearance late on with Bolton pushing for the equaliser. Luke Thomas (off for Chris Martin 85') - 7 Deployed in a right-wing-back role, Thomas actually coped well, but that shouldn't have been a surprise. We know how exciting the winger can be on his day going forward but one thing that has been noticeable all season has been his work rate. Defensively, the 24-year-old got stuck in and played a big part in Rovers getting so close to a clean sheet. Aaron Collins - 8 Although he didn't score, it was a much improved display from the Welshman. You really felt for him at times as the forward made some great runs but wasn't often picked out. He did do excellently for the second goal though, cutting back unselfishly for Evans while working hard for the team, dropping in at left-wing-back to cover Vale at times if needed. John Marquis (off for Luca Hoole 80') - 8 The comments are very similar to those written on Tuesday. Given the opportunity to start in the league for the first time since September, Marquis took his opportunity beautifully. Scoring the opening goal for the second time in five days, it wasn't just his strike but his all-round play that impressed. A physical presence, the 31-year-old's hold-up play can't be underestimated. Again, we need to see the midfielder's heatmap because there are probably very few blades of grass that weren't covered. A major presence defensively, Ward also showed his attacking qualities, putting the cross in for John Marquis to score for the opener. Antony Evans - 8 Playing in a position so advanced the midfielder was at times Rovers' furthest forward man. Being such a unit, it's remarkable how impressive the 22-year-old is with the ball at his feet. Plenty of interceptions, a couple of crunching tackles and unlucky not to score. Top work. James Wilson - 8 The same again for the third centre-back who was also outstanding. Again, a real shame that his performance wasn't rewarded with the clean sheet but his experience proved crucial in a young backline. Wilson is an excellent reader of the game but also has a quality ping on him and almost got an assist with a cross from the right-wing. On the ball he's always a delight when playing higher up the pitch and showed his class with the finish for the Gas' second goal which made a colossal difference. Had they gone into the second half with only a one goal advantage, you do fear that Bolton would've been able to claw something back, even with 10 men.
