Today I was invited to join the team at The Morning Show (Channel 7) to talk about why we have brain snaps and how to overcome our nerves so that we may have less of them… My tips where:

How to manage emotions in the moment…

  • Know what is your PET – Primary Emotional Theory

  • Name the emotion

  • Anchor this emotion to the place you feel it the most

Techniques when under pressure…

  • Keep the emotion under control so the logic stays

  • Remember anxiety is a future fear belief

  • Stay with the situation in front of you – not the situation in your head

How to prepare yourself…

  • Know that we are programmed to prove ourselves right

  • Make sure the proof you are looking for is going to work for you
