Be brave and join us for these 99 steps to good health and mental wealth! The benefits of dance and movement for the mind, body, and general well-being… Consistent studies show that dance helps us with: * improved your heart and lung condition, * increased muscular strength, endurance, and motor fitness, * increased aerobic fitness, * improved muscle tone and strength, * help with weight management, * aid in developing stronger bones which in turn reduces the risk of osteoporosis, * improve your coordination, agility, and flexibility, * improve balance and spatial awareness, * gain increased physical confidence, * improve mental functioning, * improve general and psychological well-being, * help you gain greater self-confidence and self-esteem, and * interestingly enough, enhance social skills. This 33-day challenge is designed to help you take time to move, relax and experience the benefits of music and movement to our general well-being. The process is simple on paper, but the commitment of 33 days is often not so simple… Every day, 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, evening) you are to choose a song that is a minimum of 3 minutes in timing and dance. That’s all, just crank up the sound and dance, but do it three times a day for 33 days! There are no rules about what songs, but we provide suggestions in each daily challenge. Here is a taste of the randomness of our suggestions: "Shimmy Shimmy Ko Ko Bop"
